
How long have you been working in sPHENIX and at what institution?
I have been working in sPHENIX for 4 years at Columbia University.
What is the focus of your work on the sPHENIX experiment?
I focus on the Calorimeter system, especially the HCal. I also put a lot of effort into the jet analysis.
Where were you grow up and what is your educational background before your current position?
I grew up in Dalian, a beautiful coastal city in China. I completed my undergraduate studies at UCLA and am currently pursuing my graduate studies at Columbia University.
Awards or biggest talk highlight?
Talk about the fully calorimetric jet energy measurements at DNP 2024.
How did you decide to go into heavy ion or spin research?
I decided to go into heavy ion after joining Prof. Huang's group at UCLA, where the very good atmosphere made me go into this field. The similarly very good atmosphere in Bill's group confirmed my choice to remain in research.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I'm a big fan of music. I spend my spare time listening to music or going to concerts.
Fun fact?
The first day I came to BNL in 2021 was my birthday. Maybe the best birthday gift.
