HCal cosmic calibration

By hj2552@columbia.edu, 11 July, 2022
This note focuses on the progress of the HCal calibration using cosmic muons. The energy deposited by muons passing through the sectors is recorded and selected to get the events where the muons pass through all tiles in a tower. Our primary diagnostic is the Most Probable Value (MPV) of the ADC distributions for such events. The MPV's are corrected with the temperatures and the Performance Ratio (PR) of the tiles in each tower. And they will determine the gain of each tower. We will use these data to calibrate the performance of the towers.
